An Insomniac's Dream

Version 2.0 - Scream for Life
This site used to be called Crazy Chico, but then it was changed it to An Insomniac's Dream. Why? Because I'm not a boy. Take it from me, folks. If you're trying to say something in another language, make sure you research it first. I had made another layout before this one, but I forgot to take a screen capture before I overwrote it. This layout was the first time I experimented with JavaScript. A blue aura went around the images when your mouse hovered over them.

Version 3.0 - Chubby is Cute
This layout is in all black and white again, like the two layouts before it. I think I'm starting to see a pattern here. Ferio's a cutie.

Version 4.0 - I Can't Sleep
This is the version I changed the name of the site to An Insomniac's Dream. It's Calvin from the comic Calvin and Hobbes. XD I scanned it in from a strip where Calvin couldn't sleep, to keep in consistency with the theme.

Version 5.0 - I Love You, Please Don't Leave Me
Now how depressing is that title? ¬¬;; In this layout I finally did something that looked a bit gloomy, which is what I wanted, but wasn't black and white. I edited the flower on the right from a photo that my dad took. People kept thinking the picture was a squash. I think it was because of the weird way I cropped it.

Version 6.0 - Mad About You
The base image for this layout is also from another one of my dad's flower photographs that I edited. There's a quote above the flower from one of Sting's songs, "Mad About You." That's pretty much what this layout was inspired from.

Version 7.0 - Girly Germs
Shirley Manson is so cool, I decided to make a layout with her face splattered on it.

Version 8.0 - You're the Magic that Holds the Sky
Another Shirley Manson layout. Her eyes are puretty. The lyrics right above Shirley say "You're the magic that holds the sky up from the ground. You're the breath that blows these cool winds round." They're from the song Magic by Ben Folds Five. :D

Version 9.0 - Be Careful What You're Wishing
This is a rather pink layout but I don't think I overdid it. Pink looks good with black and it's not the bubblegum pink that I can't stand. The lyrics are from a song by Garbage called Temptation Waits.

Version 10.0 - I'll Never Forget You
This layout was made with a Hitomi and Van picture that I had been dying to use for a long time. I adore this picture and the couple. I'd been trying to steer away from anime layouts on my personal site, but I couldn't resist. I was getting sick of flowers and Shirley Manson's beautiful face all the time.

Version 11.0 - Give A Reason for Life
Woo! Megumi Hayashibara! This is a very green layout and rather different from the other ones I've done. I made this specifically for the new anime reviews section that I wanted to link from the main page. I didn't think that I would keep it up for long, but I ended up falling in love with it and keeping it for a really long time.

Version 12.0 - Do You Feel Loved?
Featuring the lyrics from U2's song, "Do You Feel Loved?" The first image is the splash page, the second is the main page. The Kanji character is the character for "Ai" or "Love."

Version 13.0 - No Black and White in the Blue
A layout with Mana from Malice Mizer! That's a man, you know. ¬¬ He is so bootiful. This features lots of hues of blues, unlike the layout above, which is more towards the red side of the spectrum. I love this picture of Mana. It's so great. XD

Version 14.0 - In This Heartland
This base image was from a postcard that I sent one of my friends from Istanbul. It was such a pretty postcard, the prettiest I had seen in my life. I was so tempted to keep it myself, but I asked them to scan it once they got it in the mail. The layout is "In This Heartland," because Istanbul is my heartland. :P Though I love the postcard image, the layout is a failure. It irks me.

Version 15.0 - Dreaming in Red
I got sick of the blues in the layout above, and created a layout overloaded in reds. Version 14.0 only lasted for about one day. How sad. I used a lot of kanji in this layout, and lots of little squares. +_+; I love working with the kanji font, it's so much fun to figure out. Version 15.0 marks the rants section being taken down.

Version 16.0 - Wallfowers
This is somewhat of a revolutionary layout for my personal site. First of all, it's not frames (gasp). I love the setup as a whole. Each page has lyrics quoted at the top, from songs that I felt fit that section of the site. Somehow with this layout, the site as a whole has matured.

Version 17.0 - Above the Clouds

This layout was composed of various digital photographs that I took from various plane rides. It's serene and composed, and that's what I like about it. The image on the right is an example of the sub-pages.
